Zubeen Garg tests COVID-19 negative

GUWAHATI: Popular Assamese singer Zubeen Garg who had arrived in Guwahati from Mumbai at midnight on Tuesday tested negative for COVID-19. His wife Garima Saikia Garg and their two friends also tested negative.
“Zubeen can go home in the evening. Zubeen and his entire group tested COVID-19 negative,” said Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The popular singer along with his wife Garima and two other associates were under quarantine at a hotel in Guwahati. They had traveled to Guwahati from Mumbai by a bus. They started their journey on May 8.
Zubeen Garg flew to Mumbai on March 8 after his discharge from Nexcare Hospital in Guwahati. He was admitted to the hospital after he collapsed during an event at Guwahati Town Club on February 27.
